This beautiful spot on earth is my home. I grew up here and know every corner. For me, there is nothing better than knowing that the next generation is also here with heart & soul.

Johanna: As a child, I couldn't imagine working in my parents' hotel myself one day, so I trained as a media designer. After a stay in Scotland, I was drawn back to my roots, where I learned to love the work.

Welcoming guests and giving them a home away from home is our mission! No day is like the other - and that's a good thing!

I have been at Berggenuss Birgsau for a year and feel very comfortable here. It is an open and familiar hotel. All employees are treated fairly! I am allowed to give free rein to thoughts and ideas and simply have the opportunity to work independently and creatively. I think my skills are well suited to this job because I can play to my strengths here. You also learn new skills. I also really enjoy getting to know new guests. There are no monotonous tasks here.

My path led me to Berggenuss Birgsau in the beautiful Stillachtal in October 2010 (at that time, the hotel was still known as Birgsauer Hof). What I particularly appreciate? The good energy this house gives off and this area in general.  All the people here and my work with different people brings me a lot of pleasure. I am actually already retired but still fit enough to do my massages and cosmetics with a lot of heart and soul.

I ended up at Berggenuss Birgsau by chance and actually only wanted to spend one winter season here- that was in 2013. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work in almost all areas of the hotel. The job itself is no different from other hotels, but what makes the difference for me, is the warmth, the family charm and a strong sense of belonging. New challenges and opportunities for further training are included.

I have been working at Berggenuss Birgsau since April 1, 2009. After my training as a hotel manager and three more years in restaurant service, I wanted to experience something new and broaden my horizons- with the guests' enjoyment always in mind, of course. The smooth application process, my great probation work day and the incomparable atmosphere of the house convinced me right away. Starting here and looking further ahead was a very good decision that I still don't regret.
